Open Access - finally on the way to core business?

Open Access and superstructure are the "big excitement topics" and are clearly raising the blood pressure of many a TC decision-maker. It is clear that Open Access is much discussed, but too little is happening in the market. There are many reasons for this: in some cases the economic offers are not right, in others there are technical challenges. A look at Scandinavia shows that Open Access definitely has the potential to develop into a common market standard.

The focus is on the consideration of whether a functioning open access approach would not be a suitable prevention against the impending fiber optic overbuild and thus accelerate fiber optic expansion in Germany.
We want to discuss the following questions together:

  • What is the connection between superstructure and Open Access?
  • How can Open Access be used to a greater extent, what are the levers?
  • Is there a need for open access regulation or does the market regulate itself?
