Battle for brains - How can the skills shortage be countered?

The shortage of skilled workers has become an increasingly pressing problem in the telecommunications industry. There is a lack of experts for laying fiber optics, infrastructure maintenance, cyber security, sales and marketing experts, among others. The list goes on and on.

The availability of a highly qualified workforce is a basic prerequisite for growth and corporate success. It is particularly critical if potential for company development cannot be exploited due to a shortage of workers.

This raises the question for the industry as to which factors influence the number of applications, employee satisfaction and employee retention.

Among other things, we get to the bottom of the following topics:

  • What requirements do employees have today and in the future?
  • How can the TC industry present itself as an attractive sector for new employees?
  • Is the industry open to career changers?
  • How can the TC sector become more attractive for women?
